Two Samsung devices, both at the opposite ends of the hardware specs, have visited FCC, indicating that a market launch might be quite near. First up is the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S4 mini (SCH-i435), which is making an appearance quite soon after passing Bluetooth certification, and will probably be launching in the very near future, along with the Sprint and AT&T variants.
Next up is the SM-W2014, an unnamed clamshell phone that Samsung is preparing with the power of a Snapdragon 800 chip underneath, and other high-end specs like a 13-megapixel camera, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. This one is most likely headed for South Korea and China only – devices get certification from the FCC all the time, but that unfortunately doesn't mean they'll get released in the U.S. and other markets. Samsung does have the lower-end flip phone, the Galaxy Golden, set for launch in Asian markets like India, so clamshell form factor lovers might still have something to set their sights on.
