Back in late October, a leaked document had given us a look at the update schedule for the Android 4.3 updates for various Samsung devices by major US carriers, including the Galaxy S4. Now, a new document obtained by Android Police has revealed that the Galaxy S4 on carrier US Cellular will begin receiving the update from November 8th, starting from 9 AM in the morning.
The update – build R970TYURMJA – will add support to the Galaxy S4 for the Galaxy Gear, improve performance and display quality, add new camera and TouchWiz features, KNOX functionality, and more. Also accompanying the update will be a newer Kies version, so for those using their computers to upgrade, an update to Kies might be required as well.
Update: Looks like the update is right on schedule, as it's currently making its way to some users (build R970TYUEMJA), though a gradual rollout means it will be a few days before you get it on your Galaxy S4. If you can't wait, you can grab the firmware from our firmware section and update manually.
