South Korean tech giant Samsung is the official smartphone partner for one of the biggest multi-title mobile e-sports leagues, the Snapdragon Pro Series. Qualcomm announced at the Snapdragon Summit 2022 in Hawaii that it has named Samsung to be its presenting partner for the Snapdragon Pro Series in 2023.

This marks another collaborative milestone between both companies. As a part of this collaboration, Snapdragon Pro Series competitors will use Samsung Galaxy smartphones for competitions through Snapdragon Masters in 2024. The Snapdragon Pro Series will feature Samsung branding across multiple regions, including North America, India, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

As per the official announcement, Snapdragon Pro Series competitors at the Mobile Challenge and Mobile Masters levels will exclusively use Snapdragon-powered Samsung flagship Galaxy devices, beginning with the Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Challenge Finals at DreamHack Valencia. The mobile e-sports event features competitions in popular games such as Clash of Clans, Asphalt 9 Legends, Brawl Stars, Garena Free Fire, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and PUBG Mobile.

Stephanie Choi, Executive VP and Head of Global Marketing at Samsung, said, “We’re committed to bringing high-performance Samsung Galaxy devices powered by Snapdragon to the hands of billions of gamers around the world to promote both camaraderie and competition.

Although there is no confirmation on which Samsung Galaxy devices will be used during the Snapdragon Pro Series events, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and the Galaxy S22 Ultra could definitely be seen in the hands of the competitors. This is because both devices feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and come with high refresh rate screens, making them one of the best devices for gaming.

This mobile e-sports event will not only display both companies' efforts to advance mobile technology in the e-sports world but will also showcase the gaming prowess of Galaxy devices. For more information about the Snapdragon Pro Series, you can visit here.
