As we close in on 2022, more information about Samsung's 2023 smartphone lineup is getting revealed. Ahead of the Galaxy S23 series, the South Korean firm could unveil new Galaxy A series smartphones for 2023: Galaxy A14 5G, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A74. Today, more details about the Galaxy A14 5G have been revealed, including its processor, display, and Android version.
The Galaxy A14 5G has appeared in the Google Play Console for developers (via MyFixGuide). The listing reveals that the smartphone will come equipped with the Exynos 1330 processor, which features two ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.4GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and the ARM Mali-G68 GPU with two cores and a clock speed of 950MHz. The phone appears to have 6GB RAM, Android 13, and a 6.8-inch Full HD display resolution (probably with a 90Hz refresh rate).
Going by these specifications, the Exynos 1330 should perform much better than the Exynos 850 chipset used in the Galaxy A13. It should also perform better than the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset used in the Galaxy A13 5G. The Exynos 1330, which hasn't been announced yet, appears to feature a faster CPU and a much faster GPU than the Exynos 850 and the Dimensity 700. It means that Samsung's affordable phone for 2023 should perform much faster than its predecessors.
The Galaxy A14 5G is also expected to feature a 13MP front-facing camera, a triple-camera setup on the rear (with a 50MP rear camera), 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C port, a 5,000mAh battery, and 15W fast charging. The phone also seems to have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
