Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update (XXDMJ1) for the Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 in Germany. Apart from the usual changes and improvements that come as part and parcel of Android 4.2.2, including lockscreen widgets, Daydream screensaver mode, dedicated toggles page in the status bar, and more, the update includes stability improvements and a few new custom Samsung features that are found on newer devices like the Galaxy S4.

The update is now available over-the-air and via Kies, though it will be a while before it reaches all devices. You can check if it's available in your region from the Settings » About tablet » Software updates menu, or you can grab the full firmware from our firmware section to update manually.
