The EU Commission is unsatisfied with the commitments offered by Samsung, Joaquin Almunia has confirmed. Almunia, Vice President of the European Commission responsible for Competition Policy believes the commitments offered by the world's largest smartphone maker is less and reckons “Samsung may have to improve concessions offered two months ago to end an antitrust investigation into its patent dispute with rival Apple.”
The Commission says they've “market-tested” these solutions and will put forth all the feedback to Samsung when they discuss the issue in the coming weeks.
Samsung is trying its best to settle the antitrust investigation as failing to do so could attract Samsung a fine to the tune of $18 billion.
