Samsung's advertising budget is huge, but when it comes to retail stores, the Korean manufacturer hasn't been as serious about them as arch rival Apple. But it looks like Samsung intends to change that in the near future, and to do that, the company has hired none other than a former designer for Apple's stores, Tim Gudgel, according to a report by The Information.
Reportedly, this isn't the first Apple design Samsung has poached – it also hired Michael Forrest earlier this year, who is supposedly working on creating a retail experience for Samsung's Galaxy phones and tablets. While the report should be taken with a pinch of salt, it wouldn't be surprising if we see a lot of Samsung stores pop up in the near future, a move that would help it court even more consumers in the coming years.
Let's just hope these Samsung stores don't look too much like Apple's, or the company might just have another lawsuit on its hands.
