The ATIV SE, Samsung's upcoming Windows Phone device for U.S. carrier Verizon, has been revealed in a press image leaked by the ever-enterprising @evleaks. We've seen images of the phone before, but this is the first time we're seeing one with the Windows Phone UI visible as well. The image confirms that the device will run on at least Windows Phone 8 GDR3 and have a 1080p display sized at 5-inch or greater, as only Windows Phone phablets with a 1080p screen have a third row for Live Tiles on the homescreen, though there's still no word on when we can expect the ATIV SE to make an official appearance.
Hardware details aren't known at this point, but the device could sport a quad-core Snapdragon 400/Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 13-megapixel camera. Also unknown is whether it will arrive as in unlocked unbranded form in other markets, though we'll hopefully learn more about the company's latest handset running on Windows Phone in the days to come. Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia is set to complete in a couple of weeks, so it's possible we'll see an official unveil of the ATIV SE soon after, along with Windows Phone handsets from some of the new hardware manufacturers that have partnered with Microsoft recently.
