In just about three weeks, the Galaxy S5 will go on sale worldwide in 150 countries, marking the debut of Samsung's fifth-generation Galaxy S flagship in perhaps the largest smartphone launch ever, and it looks like the Korean manufacturer is making the necessary preparations for that important day, as the first official firmware for the device is now available online. The firmware is for the Chinese variant of the SM-G9009D and is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with a build date of March 12. In the coming days, firmware for more regions should be coming up online, and hopefully advanced users will be taking a peek inside to extract goodies like wallpapers, ringtones, system apps and more from the Galaxy S5.
