Samsung's “premium Galaxy S5” continues to be talked about in rumors and leaks, with a new report from the Korean media suggesting that the Galaxy S5 Prime could be launched in June. A report from Asia Today cites industry sources as saying that the Prime variant will sport a QHD (2560×1440) display, something that has been a part of every rumor surrounding the device, and that Samsung will be focusing on European and American markets to sell its ultra-premium next big thing. We've already exclusively revealed details on the hardware the Galaxy S5 Prime could carry, though a June launch date is something that cannot be confirmed at the moment.
Samsung has been working on a new device codenamed Project KQ, which is expected to be the higher-end version of the Galaxy S5. The device could debut the new octa-core Exynos 5430 processor that sports an integrated Intel LTE modem, clock speeds of up to 2.1 GHz on the powerful Cortex-A15 cores and 1.5GHz on the low-power Cortex-A7 cores, and the Mali T6XXX GPU rated at 600MHz. It could, as rumors have always suggested, have a metallic build as well, to address one of the most criticized things about Samsung's flagship devices.
