Calling out to all the “tastemakers” in the US, Samsung has announced that the gold color version of the Galaxy S5 will be arriving on major carriers in the country on May 30th. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular will all be stocking the gold model, while Verizon will be selling it through select indirect retailers, whatever that means. The new color option will also be available from Samsung Experience Shops located in Best Buy retail stores, likely for the same price as the blue, black, and white models. That means you'll have to shell out anywhere from $599 to $700 if you decide to purchase it outright, or $199 if you're willing to sign a two-year agreement.
The Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 chip, 2GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera, LTE connectivity, fingerprint and heart rate sensors, a 2,800 mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest TouchWiz UI that offers features like Ultra Power Saving Mode and Download Booster.
