Smartphones might be the norm in the mobile industry today, but feature phones are still making their presence felt around the world. Going after “middle and older generations,” Samsung has launched a new flip feature phone called Samsung Master, which will be sold in South Korea. The phone has the usual feature phone, um, features you expect – small display (3-inch), alphanumeric keypad, FM radio, and a basic (3-megapixel) camera, but Samsung has given it similar styling to its smartphones by adding faux leather to both the front and back.

The Master also has a couple of advanced functions – a special Loud mode boosts the speaker volume, and like the Galaxy S5, the Master can also count steps thanks to an integrated pedometer (though you won't be getting any advanced health features.) An emergency mode will help you send a message to a preset list of numbers, and a 1,000mAh battery will hopefully keep things going for a long time given the lack of a smartphone operating system inside.

The Samsung Master will go on sale for 240,000 won in Metallic silver and Montblanc Black colors at launch, and in Wine Red a few weeks after. Carriers SK Telecom and KT will be offering a 3G variant, while a 2G-only variant will also arrive on LGU+ and SK Telecom.
