Samsung has come out in full force at IFA 2014. Yesterday it showed off a handful of mobile devices as well as a virtual reality headset and its Gear S smartwatch. Today the company has showed off an innovative product that may set off ripples in the TV industry. Samsung today unveiled the world's largest curved UHD television.
It features a panoramic 21:9 aspect ratio allowing customers to “enjoy an immersive cinematic experience at home.” Samsung's 105-inch curved UHD TV has a 11 million pixel 5,210×2,160 screen resolution and is able to adjust content to UHD resolution. Throw in Samsung's Peak Illuminator, the company's own picture quality technology, which weeds out subtle differences of brightness and highlights contrasts to enable better detail by expanding the range of brightness.
The 105-inch curved UHD TV from Samsung will be launched in the European market initially.
