Samsung made the Galaxy Note 4 official yesterday, and while the company was happy to talk about all of the phablet's features and specs, it wasn't very forthcoming with the release date of the device, only saying that it would launch sometime in October. Thanks to some retailers in the Netherlands though, the availability date of Samsung's newest flagship has leaked – the Galaxy Note 4 will go on sale from October 10, and if we go by the releases of Samsung's previous flagships, it's highly likely that the Note 4 will become available for purchase on the same day in most countries in the world.

As for the price, the Galaxy Note 4 is priced at €799 by those retailers – that's the same price we reported yesterday and it's also the same as the Galaxy Note 3's price from last year, which suggests the Galaxy Note 4 will not exactly be too costly despite bringing a plethora of upgrades over its predecessor. As always, there is no guarantee that October 10 is the actual release date, especially since it's a couple of weeks later than when the Galaxy Note 3 went on sale last year, so it would be best to wait for more details before getting excited about the day you will be able to grab the metal-clad Galaxy Note 4.

The Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display, a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805/a 1.9GHz Exynos octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera with Smart OIS, a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB of expandable storage, a 3,220 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. It also comes with the S Pen, which now features increased sensitivity in order to offer an even better input experience than what came before.
