We previously reported that the Galaxy Alpha isn't the only device fashioned out of metal that Samsung is going to add to its lineup this year. As many as three new devices built along the lines of the Alpha are currently being developed by the company and are expected to be released by the end of this year. We have already leaked images of the SM-A500 or the Galaxy A5 earlier this week.
One can often get valuable hints from import trackers about the status of an unreleased device. We already know that there's a Galaxy A7 or SM-A700 in this lineup as well and according to import tracker Zauba this particular model has been shipped to India for R&D purposes by Samsung.
The import tracker's list only mentions the model number which while confirms that its under R&D, doesn't offer much in terms of specifications and features. It is believed to be a high-end device though with presumably a 5-inch display and a 13 megapixel rear camera. We'll let you know more about the SM-A700 as soon as we find out more.
