Samsung has announced that its high-end Gear S smartwatch will be launched in the US on November 7th through all the major carriers. Apart from AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, consumers will be able to buy the Gear S from Samsung Experience stores at Best Buy throughout the US. The SIM card slot equipped smartwatch would be available in black and white colours. AT&T will be selling it the Gear S starting November 7 for $199 on a two-year contract. Sprint will be selling it for $384 without any contract but it would also be available for $16 per month on a two-year contract. Sprint is also ready to wave off the $10 fee which is normally required to add Gear S to the family plan if the user is paying for at least 20GB of shared data.
At $349 outright or at $14.58 per month on a two-year contract, T-Mobile would be selling the Tizen-based Gear S smartwatch at the cheapest price. T-Mobile is also offering a special $5 per month plan for unlimited data and texting with up to 500 MB of data. Verizon is yet to announce its rates for the Gear S.
