Samsung surprised us all by starting the rollout of the Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 yesterday, with Poland the first country to receive the best version of Android yet. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the update in its home country – the update is pushing out to all major carriers in South Korea, namely KT, SK Telecom and LG Uplus, and is available over the air, through Samsung Kies, and also via our firmware section. The build number is G900KKTU1BNL2 for all three carriers, and the feature list is expected to be the same as that of the European variant of the Galaxy S5.

That includes an overhauled user interface with Google's new Material Design intermixed with Samsung's TouchWiz UX, lockscreen notifications, increased performance thanks to the switch to Android's new ART runtime, better battery life, improved fingerprint recognition, redesigned Samsung apps, and a new clipboard tool that keeps track of all copied data and captured screenshots. Expect the update to start making its way to other regions over the next few weeks.
