A bunch of high-end smartphones from Samsung released in the past one year such as the Galaxy Note 4, the Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S4 GPe, and the Galaxy Note 3 will be receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update early next year, but Samsung hasn't forgotten its older offerings. Samsung will be pushing out a minor software update based to Sprint's Galaxy Note II on January 6th, though it will still be based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat instead of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The update with a version number L900VPUBNK2 will add HD voice icon, enable ORNL, and add some security related bug fixes to the Galaxy Note II SPH-L900. The bug fixes include Google's security patches for SSL, Towelroot, and TrustZone as well as some other bug fixes.
