Verizon became the first carrier in the United States to release Android 5.0 for the Galaxy S5 earlier this week and it looks like one of its competitors is following suit. Sprint seems to be on track to release Android 5.0 Lollipop for its Galaxy S5 users tomorrow, February 5th. Word of the upcoming update comes straight from Samsung's FAQ page for the Sprint Galaxy S5 which now mentions that the update is slated for release on February 5th. The update's build number will be G900PVPU1AOA6.
Android 5.0 Lollipop brings a wide variety of new features all of which will be included in this update. The overall look and feel of the software has been overhauled with Material Design and Samsung has also made tweaks to TouchWiz to make everything more visually appealing.
Galaxy S5 users on Sprint will also get enhanced Voice over Wi-Fi user interface with this update, it removes the Lumen toolbar from the device as well.
Update: It seems the rollout is now live, as users are reporting that the update has started showing up on their devices.
