Despite all the fanfare around the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge launch, what left many wanting was the fact that Samsung didn't launch a smartwatch at the MWC. If you, like me, had been wondering why that's the case, Samsung's EVP might have an answer. “We’ve been introducing more devices than anybody else,” adds Young-hee Lee, who's in charge of Samsung’s mobile marketing efforts. “It’s time for us to pause.”
With a total of six smartwatches in its kitty, Samsung now “wants a more perfect product,” according to Young-hee Lee. Now, whether this change in policy is a result of Apple's new smartwatch or just plain coincidence, only time till tell.
