Only a week after the official announcement of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, reports about certain hardware issues on these handsets have started to surface. According to a new report from Asia Today, Samsung's latest flagship smartphones are facing display issues where the touch inputs are hardly being recognised near the bezels.
An accompanied video shows how the displays on these smartphones fail to recognise touch inputs (while scribbling/handwriting) near the bezels. Surprisingly, the issue seems to be more prominent on the Galaxy S6 as a larger area of the screen seems to lack sensitivity. The issue seems to be present on the Galaxy S6 edge as well, but to a smaller degree.
According to the publication's source, the South Korean smartphone giant might not be able to solve this issue with a firmware update as the problem seems to be related to the hardware. We hope that Samsung corrects this issue before its devices are placed on the retail shelves around the world, otherwise it could be another #bendgate waiting to happen.
Update: As many of our commenters have pointed out all Samsung smartphones have this and it isn't an issue when it comes to daily use.
