We’ve seen Italy, Switzerland, and Canada launch their Galaxy S6 and S6 edge pre-orders. Now, the pre-order baton falls to South Africa.
According to the source, South African carriers Vodacom and MTN have both announced their pre-order registrations for Samsung’s latest and greatest devices. Apparently, the source also states that both carriers have bundled Samsung’s wireless charging pad with the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge as a means to encourage additional pre-orders for the devices.
Just in time for encouraging pre-orders, Samsung also launched an online repair booking system in the country that’s designed to help consumers get their devices fixed quickly. Consumers can simply manage their repairs by logging onto the site and registering their devices. Once online, the user can access the booking form and submit the model and serial number of the device to receive a reference number, according to Samsung Electronics SA Service Director Richard Chetty. Along with the free wireless charging pad for Vodacom and MTN customers, Samsung has promised to provide two free device repairs for buyers of the S6 and S6 edge.
While US customers have to wait for their devices until April 11, South African customers can expect to see Samsung’s latest in the country on April 10.
If you’re a South African resident that’s been waiting for your chance, here it is. Stay tuned to SamMobile as we bring you all the latest in pre-order registrations for Samsung’s new premium flagships.
