There is absolutely no shortage of drop tests on YouTube, fire up the website right now and you can find all sorts of different durability tests being performed on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. Even Samsung got in on the fun as well after it decided to refute a Galaxy S6 bend test that was gaining a lot of popularity. Today we have come across a slightly different kind of durability test, it's one where the Galaxy S6 meets the all-electric Tesla Model S. For science, of course.
The Tesla Model S weighs around 4650 pounds so it's not exactly the lightest car in the world but what would happen if it were to accidently run over a Galaxy S6? Well the test shows that the glass on the back will shatter completely so much so that you run the risk of cutting yourself if you're not handling it carefully. However the front holds up nicely and the device remains functional despite bearing the crushing weight of the Tesla. The car was then driven over the Galaxy S6 multiple times to completely destroy the device and while it shattered the glass, even then the capacitive buttons on the bottom remained functional. Fixing the device after such an experience would probably require swapping out the glass on both sides, this goes to show just how solid the build quality really is on Samsung's latest flagship handset.
