Samsung today announced that the Galaxy Tab A will be available for customers in the United States on May 1. Customers can choose between 8-inch and 9.7-inch models which will both be offered in White, Smoky Titanium and Smoky Blue colors. Another 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab A model in Smoky Titanium will be offered which will include the S Pen and will go on sale starting May 17th.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB RAM, a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution display with 4:3 aspect ratio, 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera as well as Android 4.4 KitKat. Several Microsoft apps will also be onboard including the Office suite and OneDrive which will give users 100GB of cloud storage free for two years. Samsung Milk Music and other apps classified as Galaxy Gifts will also be included.
Interested customers can pre-order at Samsung.com today and receive their tablets on May 1st when it also becomes available at the company's retail partners nationwide. 8-inch and 9.7-inch models cost $229.99 and $299.99 respectively while the model with the S-Pen costs $349.99.
