We have already reported that Samsung is building several new tablets which it intends to release in 2015 and one of those tablets just might have been spotted on Geekbench. An unannounced Samsung tablet bearing codename “CHOPIN-LTE” has been spotted in the database of devices of the benchmarking website. The results show that it has an Intel processor hooked up with 4GB RAM.
Details are slim at this point in time but the results show that it has an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor that's manufactured on the company's 14nm Cherry Trail platform, with four cores clocked at 2.24GHz as well as 8th-generation Intel graphics. Geekbench awards it a single-core score of 1005 and a multi-core score of 3426. No information about the display, battery, cameras and other features is available right now, only that the tablet will come with Android 5.1 Lollipop installed. If these specifications are anything to go by it seems that this might be a high-end tablet that's currently in the pipeline at Samsung, or it could merely be a prototype that the company is testing which never sees the light of day. It's too soon to say for sure.
