Samsung takes yet another swing at the iPhone in its latest TV ad

Samsung has a habit of taking swings at the iPhone in TV advertisements and even though it has been awhile since it released such a commercial the company put one on the air soon after Apple unveiled the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus earlier this week. The ad shows the iPhone 6 Plus for a couple of seconds and then focuses entirely on the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ while highlighting the fact that “it's not a phone, it's a Galaxy.” That tagline feels like a reply to “if it's not an iPhone, it's not an iPhone” which Apple has been using for quite some time now.

Apple didn't talk about the battery capacity of the new iPhones during the announcement and both handsets still don't offer wireless charging even though the feature is increasingly becoming common. Samsung thought it was best to remind people of this through the commercial, it promotes the fact that both Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge+ come with wireless charging built-in. Both new Samsung handsets are immediately available for purchase while the new iPhones will be released later this month.
