Samsung today announced that it has achieved television sales of more than $1 billion in one month for the first time in North America, it set a new record for monthly sales in this particular market in October 2015. The record shows the gradual growth of Samsung's TV business in North America as 11 years ago Samsung achieved $100 million in monthly sales for the first time. By October 2007 the number had ballooned to $500 million.
This growth has been aided by Samsung's expansion of Samsung Entertainment Experience areas in more than 600 Best Buy locations, it has designed these areas to enable customers to explore Samsung products, particularly its audio systems and SUHD TVs. Samsung was also recognized as the highest-ranking company for customer satisfaction for two years straight in the HDTV category of sets above and below 50-inches, the study was conducted as part of the annual J.D. Power 2015 High-Definition Television Satisfaction Report. Data from NPD Group shows that Samsung accounted for 35.1% of TV sales in the United States and 28.4% in Canada, combined the figures have made it the leading TV vendor in North America.
