Just a day before the last month of the year is set to begin, T-Mobile has started updating the Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910T) and Galaxy Note Edge (SM-N915T) to Android 5.1.1. Rolling out over the air, the update should bring everything that is part of 5.1.1 (which isn't a lot in terms of user-facing features), and also adds Advanced Messaging and video calling to the two devices.
The update is available via Samsung Kies as well, and can also be downloaded from our firmware section if you're not interested in going through the official channels (the firmware in our database are official Samsung firmware, but allow you to update quicker by using the company's Odin tool.) Let us know if the OTA has hit your Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy Note Edge; if you haven't yet, you can try and grab it from the Settings » About device » Software update menu.
