After quietly introducing the Galaxy J1 (2016) in Dubai two months ago, Samsung has launched it in Russia along with the Galaxy J1 mini. The Galaxy J1 mini, whose specifications were leaked four months ago, has been introduced in Singapore as well.
The Galaxy J1 (2016) features a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, a microSD card slot, LTE connectivity, and a 2,050 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J1 mini features a 4-inch WVGA TFT display, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a VGA secondary camera. It comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 768MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, and the storage space can be expanded using a microSD card. It is compatible with 3G networks and comes with a 1,500 mAh battery.
Both these smartphones will be available in Black, Gold, and White colors. Currently, there's no information on the pricing and availability of the Galaxy J1 mini, but we'll let you know as soon as something solid surfaces.
