Over the past week or so, Samsung has released its latest security update to various mid-range and high-end smartphones. The company is now rolling out the new update to its high-end smartphones from last year, the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S21 series comes with firmware version G991BXXU5DVKF. The new software is rolling out in Switzerland, and we expect it to be available in other European countries within the next few days. Other regions across the world could get access to the new update before the end of this month.
The December 2022 security patch included in the new software fixes 93 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update could also bring general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy S21 series user in Europe, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
