Samsung Display will be setting up shop at the SID Display Week 2016, an annual trade show that takes place in San Francisco, to showcase the advancements it has made in display technology. It will showcase a portfolio of futuristic products that include OLED displays which can be rolled or folded, OLED displays for virtual reality headsets and even hologram technology.

Some of the products that Samsung showcases at this event will give us a hint of the kind of technology that the company might use in future devices. It will also exhibit a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and 0.3-millimeter depth, as well as 13.3-inch and 14-inch touchscreen AMOLED panels for notebooks. Visitors will get to see the transparent and reflective mirror display, aside from the hologram technology that can project 3D images in the air. “The hologram tech is expected to be utilized for various purposes including 3-D games or digital pop-up books,” said Seo Philip, a Samsung Display representative. SID Display Week 2016 takes place from May 24-26 in San Francisco, California.
