According to a new report published by The Korea Herald, Samsung has issued a hefty bonus to employees in its mobile business division to celebrate the success of its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which generated around 49% of the firm's net profit for Q2 of 2016.
Samsung often distributes bonuses to its employees as it uses them as a form of motivation to encourage them to churn out more fantastic products each year. The incentives are offered in three levels and are determined based on an employee's salary — Level A for 100%, Level B for 50% and Level C for 37.5%.
It has been revealed that employees in the smartphone development sector were offered the highest bonus, which is to the tune of 100% of their annual salary. Samsung also provided two other divisions — appliances and components — with a Level A reward thanks to their upbeat sales this year.
