Samsung can now get down to the business of selling the Galaxy Note 7 and the company is optimistic that the new handset is going to do well. The head of Samsung's mobile business forecasts that the Galaxy Note 7 sales will beat that of its predecessor the Galaxy Note 5. These remarks were made by Samsung's mobile head Koh Dong-jin during a press conference with South Korean reporters yesterday.
A spokesman for Samsung confirmed that Dong-jin has said that the company expects the Galaxy Note 7 to perform better than the Galaxy Note 5 but also pointed out that Koh has not provided any specific sales targets. Analysts do expect that the Galaxy Note 7 is going to perform better in the market than its predecessor, one analyst has forecasted that Samsung is going to ship 12 million units of the Galaxy Note 7 in the remaining part of this year.
