Samsung opens Galaxy Note 7 pop-up stores in Amsterdam and Rotterdam

Samsung has opened two pop-up stores in the Netherlands — one in Amsterdam, and the other in Rotterdam — to give potential customers a taste of what its recently-announced flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 7, has to offer before its delayed launch in bricks-and-mortar stores on Friday, September 9.

Those who attend the pop-up stores will also have an opportunity to try out the brand new edition of the Gear VR in a rollercoaster simulator that looks like it's guaranteed to make you vomit. It's called Icarus and is essentially just a chair that rotates 360-degrees in sync to the video playing on the headset.

After playing around with the Galaxy Note 7, atendees will be given the option to pre-order the handset. If they choose to do so, they'll have the facility to pick it up from the pop-up store first thing in the morning on September 9, which saves them the hassle of having to wait at home all day for the package to arrive.
