Samsung is getting all the unwanted attention after multiple reports of Galaxy Note 7 units exploding due to faulty batteries. Now, Oculus has warned Gear VR users against using the Galaxy Note 7 until Samsung replaces their units with new ones. The company has also sent an email to Gear VR users with the same warning.
Samsung makes Gear VR headsets in collaboration with Facebook-backed Oculus. The new Gear VR, which was introduced along with the Galaxy Note 7 last month, offers a wider field-of-view, better padding, a new touch-sensitive navigation area, and an adapter that can be used with microUSB as well as USB Type-C equipped smartphones.
