The Galaxy A9 Pro, Samsung's most feature-packed Galaxy A smartphone, has today launched in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 32,490 (roughly $485), the Galaxy A9 Pro will go on sale in the country on September 26th in gold, black and white colors at online and offline stores. For those unaware, the Galaxy A9 Pro's highlight feature is the 5,000 mAh battery under the hood; the 6-inch phablet is also the only device in the Galaxy A series to feature 4GB of RAM.
The rest of the device's specs are similar to the regular Galaxy A9. The screen is a Full HD Super AMOLED unit, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor. There's 32GB of expandable internal storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS and f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel front camera, dual SIM slots and 4G LTE connectivity. The Galaxy A9 Pro has a fingerprint sensor, supports fast charging, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Like the other Galaxy A (2016) smartphones, the Galaxy A9 Pro has the same premium design found on Samsung's flagships, with glass on the front and back and metal on the sides.
We found the Galaxy A9 to be an impressive mid-range device, and the Galaxy A9 Pro should offer the same experience in addition to enhanced battery life and better multitasking. Anyone interested in buying the Galaxy A9 Pro? Let us know in the comments!
