Samsung has today launched its two-year-old Smart Tutor customer support application on the Tizen Store. For those unaware of the platform, it's a one-to-one help portal, which enables Samsung Z1, Z2 and Z3 owners to seek immediate assistance when they're experiencing issues with their device, regardless of how severe they are.
Using a secure code, trained Customer Case assistants can remotely take control of a handset to conduct diagnostic tests to try and remedy any problems a user is having. If they fail — and there's a good chance they will if it's a hardware-related issue — owners are given the opportunity to book a date to bring it into an authorized service centre.
Don't be fooled into thinking that this is a flashy new build of Smart Tutor as it's actually the exact same application the launched for Android-powered Galaxy smartphones and tablets back in 2014, and debuted on the Samsung Z2 and Z3. It has faced some minor cosmetic changes, though, to bring it more in line with what we'd expect an application to look like in 2016.
