Samsung will be bringing its recently-announced Blue Coral variant of the Galaxy S7 edge to Canada, reveals popular blog MobileSyrup. The revelation was made in an exclusive statement issued to the online publication on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the firm failed to provide a specific timeframe for the handset's release. Although, we're guessing that it'll launch in the region before the year's out.
Aside from the new color, which debuted on the now-recalled Galaxy Note 7, the device remains identical both on the inside and outside to the regular Galaxy S7 edge that launched back in March, so it continues to sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820/Exynos 8890 Octa CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of expandable storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 3,600mAh battery.
We first heard about the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge a couple of weeks ago when an image of its shell surfaced online. Shortly after, Samsung's subsidiary in Singapore confirmed that the unit would launch in the first week of November, but didn't provide any images. Fortunately for us, however, the company's Taiwanese division was on hand to help as it prematurely released images of the handset last week.
The device was officially announced on Tuesday, November 1.
