After thoroughly testing beta versions of Android 7.0 firmware, Samsung released the final update for the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge in a few markets this week. Now, Samsung has announced through its official blog post that it will release Android 7.0 updates for a bunch of smartphones and tablets.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Tab A with S Pen, Galaxy Tab S2 (LTE unlocked), Galaxy A3, and the Galaxy A8 would receive Android 7.0 updates before the first half of 2017. The company also showcased new features and UI design that are a part of the new update. However, Samsung could release Nougat for even more devices in the second half of 2017.
New features in the Android 7.0 firmware include a new design for notifications and quick setting toggles, improved Multi Window, Performance Mode, Samsung Pass, improved Always On Display, and much more.
