Samsung has opened up pre-orders for the Galaxy C9 Pro, which carries a price tag of Rs. 36,900 ($551), on its online portal and from select brick-and-mortar stores in India. Customers reserving a device will have up until Sunday, February 12 to do so in order to qualify for the first round of shipping, which is expected to start on Friday, February 24. As an incentive, the company is offering all customers who pre-book a unit the opportunity to score a one-time screen replacement during their first 12-months of ownership for just Rs. 990 ($14).
This news comes shortly after the handset went up for pre-order in Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Pune. For those in need of a refresher, the Galaxy C9 Pro was first launched in China back in October 2016 and packs a 6-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 653 octa-core CPU, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable internal storage, a 16MP front-and rear-facing camera and a 4,000mAh battery. It also ships running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but is slated to receive the much-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update.
