It has only been two days since Samsung released the latest February security patch for the Latin America variant of the Galaxy J5 (2016), model number SM-J510MN. You'd think that the company would extend the same courtesy to other variants of this device but that's not the case. Samsung is now rolling out the January security patch for the Galaxy J5 (2016) in Europe.
Firmware version J510FNXXU2AQA7 is now being rolled out by Samsung for the Galaxy J5 (2016) model number SM-J510FN in Europe. It's a minor update which doesn't bring much in the way of new functionality, aside from the usual slew of bug fixes and performance improvements, it includes the January security patch which brings fixes for dozens of bugs in Android OS and in Samsung's own software.
Galaxy J5 (2016) owners will soon receive the over-the-air update notification if they haven't already. Those who are okay with manually flashing their devices can also find this update file available for download on our firmware section.
