Samsung today announced that its smartphones have scored the top five positions in the joint study of the German testing center International Consumer Research and Testing (ICRT) and Roskachestvo, the Russian quality system. Best results were achieved by the Galaxy Note 3 and Note 4, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge as well as the Galaxy S4. The evaluation was carried out on the most current devices on the Russian market in three categories that included phablets, small smartphones and big smartphones.
“We are especially glad that our flagship devices – S7 edge and S7 – took two highest positions,” said Arkady Graf, head of Samsung Mobile Russia, adding that one of Samsung's main goals is to create and produce mobile devices that are of exceptional quality and provide high-end features. The devices were evaluated on criteria such as ergonomics, usability, durability, display quality, emission level, picture quality, battery life, and more. Two devices of each model were tested within the framework of this study.
All of the lab tests were performed at temperatures between 20 and 25°C, relative humidity from 45 to 60% and under normal atmospheric pressure. All of the devices were put through the same testing program and tests were performed by the same qualified experts with the help of advanced equipment.
