Update: As some of our readers have pointed out, the new update is actually just a regular update without the February security patch, something we confirmed after checking our Galaxy Note 5. We apologize for the incorrect report.
Original Story: There's good news today for Galaxy Note 5 owners in some regions because on the last day of February, Samsung has decided to send out the February security patch for their device. A new software update is now rolling out for the Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920G) in a handful of markets across the globe including but not limited to India, Brazil, Panama, Argentina, Uruguay and more.
Since this is a minor update which only brings the February security patch it weighs in at under 40MB. Don't expect much in the way of new features with this update. The February security patch brings fixes for a couple of dozen vulnerabilities in Android OS as well as some that Samsung found in its own software.
Firmware version N920GUBS3BQB1 is now being rolled out in several markets for the Galaxy Note 5. Those who haven't received the over-the-air update on their devices just yet can head over to our firmware section and download this update manually.
Thanks, Yogesh!
