Samsung has taken to its Security Blog to detail the contents of this month's maintenance release. The upgrade addresses a total of 73 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) in the Android OS and an additional 12 patches for the firm's latest Galaxy-branded handsets.
As we've said time and time again, the majority of the patches are listed as “privately disclosed” — and for good reason. Samsung can't go into great detail about the fixes as there are some bugs that may not have been discovered yet, and hackers may attempt to exploit them before the firmware arrives.
