Verizon's chief executive recently commented that given Samsung's number one smartphone maker status, they could try to develop their own smartphone OS. However, Kevin Packingham, chief product officer at Samsung has responded in negative.
Packingham says “that's not core to Samsung's strategy” but Samsung sees more potential in working with companies like Intel for Tizen.
Packingham also commented on Google's acquisition of Motorola and how Google has kept it separate, ensuring the same treatment to other OEMs as Motorola.
