Samsung announced long before it had even unveiled the Galaxy S8 that its next flagship smartphone is going to ship with AKG-tuned earbuds. This has been made possible by the company's recent acquisition of Harman International which counts AKG among the many premium audio brands that it owns.
There have been some reports recently which suggested that perhaps the AKG earbuds might not be shipped with the Galaxy S8 in the United States. Samsung has clarified that this is not going to be the case and that all customers will get these premium earbuds.
Philip Berne runs the reviews program at Samsung. He confirmed on Twitter that the earbuds tuned by AKG will be included in every retail package of the Galaxy S8 sold in the United States. He also mentioned that there's going to be an early offer for customers which includes AKG on-ear cans and a 256GB microSD card for $99.
If you're like another pair of the Galaxy S8's AKG-tuned earbuds, Samsung has previously confirmed that they will be sold separately for $99.
