It appears that Samsung might soon announce the Galaxy J5 (2017) for the US market. The smartphone, which received Wi-Fi certification three months ago, was spotted on GFXBench and its pictures were leaked a couple of weeks ago. Three variants of this smartphone – SM-J530GM, SM-530YM/DS, and SM-J530GM/DS – have cleared FCC certification. The device will likely run Android 7.0 out of the box.
The Galaxy J5 (2017) is expected to feature a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 7870 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 13-megapixel primary camera, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The Galaxy J5 (2016) was announced in April last year, so it seems plausible that we might soon see the Galaxy J5 (2017) announcement from Samsung.
