The Samsung Z4, which went official last month, was launched in India on May 19. Now, it is being reported that the smartphone will soon be released in South Africa. The device will reportedly be available via Vodacom South Africa for R1,299 (approx. $100). The device might be offered in Gold and might come with a data bundle from the carrier.
The Samsung Z4 is the first phone running Tizen 3.0. It features a 4.5-inch WVGA LCD display, a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. Both cameras are accompanied by LED flash modules. It has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of onboard storage. There's a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
It's a dual-SIM card slot since it is targeted towards consumers in emerging markets. It supports 4G LTE networks, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. There's a microUSB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung Z4 comes packed with a 2,050 mAh battery. We recently went hands on with the phone and our full review will be up soon.
