After launching world's first smart signage displays last year, Samsung has now announced that its new signage display solutions will be based on the Tizen 3.0 open source operating system. The company will showcase these new models at the InfoComm 2017 tradeshow starting today. Moreover, some of these new signage displays make use of Samsung's QLED and HDR10+ technologies for brightness of up to 1,500 nits and vibrant colors.

A key component of our vision for the future of visual display is empowering our partners to deliver compelling content across their network with reduced operational complexity. Through the Tizen 3.0 integration, these partners can enjoy easy delivery of smoother, clearer and more secure content without straying from their day-to-day operations,” said Seog-gi Kim, Executive Vice President, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

The company will also showcase its new signage displays working in conjunction with HARMAN's Acendo collaboration system for a more engaging experience. Tizen 3.0 brings a more powerful graphics engine for faster interaction, loading speeds, and response times to these new signage solutions. It is also secured by KNOX security suite to keep signage displays safe from external software attacks and hacking.

QLED signage board models are available in 55-inch and 65-inch versions. They offer 100 percent color volume, up to a billion colors, and wider viewing angles. The company will also showcase three IF series LED signage displays at its booth at InfoComm 2017. Even these models are HDR-enabled and can achieve a maximum brightness of up to 2,500 nits. Apart from these, Samsung will also showcase four XPB-series of LED signage displays that come with an embedded Banner Content Management Solution.
