Samsung announced the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro mid-range handsets in India last week. They're the latest additions to Samsung's Galaxy J lineup which has done well in the Indian smartphone market. Customers in the country can purchase the Galaxy J7 Max starting today.
The company is selling this handset in black and gold colors for Rs. 17,900. That's approximately $220. It's available to purchase in India starting today from offline retailers as well as from Samsung India's online store.
The Galaxy J7 Max comes with a 5.7-inch TFT Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass. It's powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The handset also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 13-megapixel front camera with f/1.9 aperture.
Additional features include dual-SIM support, Android 7.0 Nougat, 4G LTE support, a microSD card slot, and a 3,300mAh battery. This is also the first affordable mid-range smartphone in the country to have support for Samsung Pay.
It comes with a new Social Camera app which provides live filters, stickers, instant edits, and instant sharing to social media networks like Facebook and Twitter. The app can also be used to discover photography spots, shopping areas, and restaurants.
The Galaxy J7 Max is available for purchase in India starting today. The Galaxy J7 Pro will be released in mid-July.
